The fifth installment of Final Destination packs the same suspense game as its prior films. In a sense, the question stands: will the victims survive or meet their “final destination”? This time the story centers around a college student plagued with what she sees as a evil nightmare about her grandmother. When she discovers the location of the dream actually exists as her grandmother was responsible for saving the lives of everyone in the tower, but now marked with death, she must figure out how to save her current family’s fate.
Final Destination: Bloodlines stars The Flash’s Kaitlyn Santa Juana as Stefani, the girl with the same preminent’s as her grandmother before her. Using the book that was her grandmother, she begins to see just how her family will ultimately meet her match. All in all Juana does a good job in this action packed suspense horror that will have you on the edge of your seats. Similar, the film brings back Tony Todd in his Final Destination film. Todd past away last year as the film is dedicated to his memory and performance in all five films. Additionally the film stars The Age of Adaline’s Richard Harmon, Call of Duty’s Rya Kihlsted, TV/podcast star Anna Lore and DC’s Brec Bassinger.
Ultimately , Final Destination: Bloodlines is not for the faint at heart as there is quite a bit of bloody, gorey scenes that will make anyone with a weak stomach cringe. That being said, if you have the stomach, it will have you gripping on every word and scene, even laughing in histeria at just how unbelievable the plot really can be. It is also quite predictable, even if one has never seen a Final Destination movie.
The film came out to a Thursday night audience on May 15th and is currently playing in one near you. See it if you dare..
