“Baywatch” Remade

The 90’s show, Baywatch is making a comeback and reminding all the importance of going to the beach.  In the 2 hour comedy starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Mitch Buchanon, the head lifeguard who lives, eats and breathes everything ocean, know his career is in jeopardy when new recruit, Matt Brody (Zac Efron) comes on board with the idea of just putting on sun screen and the occasional saving a life, but when a plot to turn the Bay into a private drug trafficking site, it’s up to the lifeguards to prove they are more than just lifeguards in order to save their beloved beach.

The Paramount film is so rated “R” for it’s language and graphic sexual images.  Not recommended for young children, but otherwise it is a good film that will leave audiences laughing throughout at all of the humor as the Bay police try to downplay the lifeguards mission and ultimately routing for the team as they rush to save themselves and all that they hold dear to life.

With cameos from the original cast, David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, Baywatch is sure to be a great addition to your summer movie going experience.  Baywatch came out May 25, as it topped Thursday night previews with just over 4.5 million at the box office.  It’ll be interesting as it goes up against the Disney sequel Pirates of the Caribbean at the box office this memorial day weekend.

“Dog” Battles for Number One

Universal Picture’s latest movie about the many lives of one dog is bringing controversy as a video surfaced more than a week prior to its world premiere that caused the company to cancel it and spark protests for its opening debut weekend.

Despite the bad press, the author and producer assured the dog was never in any danger and A Dog Purpose opened in theaters this weekend, with packed to nearly packed audiences as everyone came out to see Bailey transform and touch hearts.  The film stars the voice talent of Josh Gad as one dog, living the lives of Bailey, Ellie, Tino and Buddy as he discovers the meaning of life as a dog.  Throughout he learns lessons along the way that ultimately helps him reunite with his original owner, Ethan, played by Dennis Quaid and helps him to be happy once again like he was when Bailey first came to him as a puppy.

A Dog’s Purpose will have you laughing, crying and ultimately sitting on the edge of your seat not knowing what will happen next.  At an hour and forty minutes, it’s a movie that the whole family can enjoy as they watch each dog transform each human’s life in the most common way possible.

It’ll be interesting to see who takes the number one spot at the box office this week as two Universal films, one of which Split that took number one last weekend, will be going up against each other this weekend.  A Dog’s Life is rated PG and is currently playing in a theater near you.

Sundays: What a day!

Personally, I’ve got to say “I LOVE Sundays”.

My favorite day of the week.

Of course, Sunday is also my most busiest day of the week.  You see, I’m involved with church, my expertise is getting the slides down for service using a program called propresenter.  For those that are not familiar with this software, I urge you to google it.  Take it from me, it’s the best software out there for anyone who does a lot of presentations of any kind.

Propresenter is a program that allows you to easily control music, background, foregrounds as well as slide lyrics.  It is all centered around layering these elements to truly pull off an excellent program.

So anyway, back to my day, and why Sunday is my favorite because it is the most busiest day.  So after church, it is time for work, usually 1 or 2:30 and that’s when the fun begins, I jump into my car and drive out to Universal Studios, get changed into my uniform and get ready to begin my day.  If I’m a lead, it’s even more stressful and fun, I’ve got to let my other leads know I’m there and that’s when the jumping through hurdles begin.

Don’t get me wrong, I love being lead, but I definitely get my exercise with each and every new task they give me.  I’m like a trained seal, jumping for the fish which is my paycheck, while the fans which are my supervisors watch my every move.

What a DAY!
