“John Wick 3” Review

Keanu Reeves is back for another go as the super- assassin John Wick who in his latest film Parabellum, he is on the run after killing a member of the International assassin’s guild which leaves him with a 14 million dollar price tag on his head.  Now with the help of Sofia (played by Halle Berry) its a fight for his life to keep from being killed himself as every turn leads to a gun fight to the death.

At 2 hour 10 minute runtime, John Wick Parabellum is a film for anyone who seeks that get up and go type film.  With not a lot of story line to the action adventure, the guns blazing, highly action film will have people on the edge of their seats trying to follow what is about to happen next. Reeves, in particular definitely has a knack for the spy espionage which is seen in all the John Wick movies and the chemistry with his fellow actors not in the least limited to Berry as well as Ian McShane as Winston, Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King and of course the brief encounter with the director (Anjelica Huston) in the theater/ ballet scene.  All carried the story just enough so that the audience, though not much of a story, what was there was understandable, especially to an audience who seeks the adventure element of the movie.

The third installment of John Wick came out in theaters May 17, 2019 and is currently playing in a theater near you.
