The 2014 film, Let’s Be Cops is the story of two 30-year-old roommates whose careers aren’t exactly what they want them to be. Ryan (Jake Johnson), is an ex-football player, whose only job is “pretending” to coach a group of kids on how to play football and Justin (Damon Wayans, Jr.), is a struggling video game designer, who wants to be taken seriously with his new video came about experiencing real life police work.

When Ryan and Justin go to a “Costume Party” college reunion, dressed as cops, they realize that everyone else has a career but them. On the way home, they see the possibility of being cops, when everyone on the street thinks they are for real. What starts out as a harmless joke, turns serious when they are needed by the LAPD to capture a dangerous mobster (James D’Arcy), headed by corrupt detective (Andy Garcia), who realizes that the two are faking it.

What will happen next? It’s a fun filled action/adventure/comedy about deciding what one should be doing with their lives and living it to the fullest no matter what and it’s a movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat laughing from the first moment on.

Rated R, for some explicit sexual material and language, it’s surprising a movie with a good storyline, action packed and acceptable for mature audience with a sense of humor.

Let’s Be Cops was released August 13, 2014 and is currently playing in a theater near you.
