Planes In Lancaster, CA

On Palm Sunday weekend, residents and air show enthusiasts came out to the William J. Fox Air Field to enjoy two full days of tricks and reenactments both in the air and on the ground as various planes including the F22 Raptor, as well as vintage war planes which flew across the sky demonstrating several fighter techniques.  There were also parachute jumpers though the wind was a challenge as they had to perfectly time when and where to jump.

On the ground, exhibits including scale models and actual planes like the Osprey were scattered around the air field to allow spectators to see the outside as well as inside of the aircraft.  All in all it was a relaxing day as people brought lawn chairs to sit and enjoy the air show.

All proceedings including the 20 dollar admission and 10 dollar parking goes back into the future preparations of the air show as well as general maintenance of the air field in Lancaster.

in addition to the models in the sky as well as on the ground, there was also a history panel in the tent where various pilots and engineers discussed various aircrafts including the iconic “Blackbird”.
