“See How They Run” Review

It’s the classic old school Hollywood ‘who done it’ from the 50’s. Hollywood director, Leo Kopernick is found dead on the stage of a popular play after its 100th run. Now it’s up to the inspector with the help the constable to figure out who done it.

Searchlight Picture’s See How They Run stars a stellar cast including French Dispatch‘s Adrian Brody as Leo Kopernick as well as Three Billboard’s Sam Rockwell as Inspector Stoppard and up and coming actress Lady Bird‘s Saoirse Ronan as Constable Stalker.

All of which makes this film what it is. Ronan adds the youthfulness of and up and coming detective with an eye for detail as she takes note of everything that happens along the way. Rockwell on the other hand, serves as that cocky inspector who doesn’t want to be bothered by a naive partner, but when all is said is done, it’s that unique partnership that meshes well and perfectly syncs when they both discover exactly who done it.

The result will even shock audiences as the film will keep one asking the same question to the very end. One technique that is refreshing to see again is the use of split screen point of views. It brings the audience in and helps them fully follow exactly where the story is heading.

See How They Run came out in theaters September 16 and is currently still playing in one near you. It’s the perfect who done it for anyone who wants a classic murder mystery.
