“Sonic 2” Review

The smash hit sequel Sonic is one for the books on all levels. The lovable blue devil, Sonic picks up his story right where we left off in the previous film which came out in 2020 just weeks before the largest shutdown in history.

Sonic is exploring his powers in secret while living under the protection of Wachowskis. Meanwhile in Mushroom land, Dr. Robotnik has devised a master plan with the help of Sonic’s power enemy, Knuckles who is trying to find the mysterious emerald that Sonic’s protector Longhorn was sworn to protect. What ends up happening is a fight to save the world as unlikely alliances are formed and new threats are uncovered.

At 2 hours and 2 minutes run time, Sonic 2 is likely not to disappoint though true fans may be slightly disappointed with not going fully into detail about the mysterious island. That being said, its an action packed movie that will make one feel as if they are in a real life Sonic video games. The graphics are remarkable and combined with a stellar musical score, it is sure not to disappoint.
