“The Call of The Wild” REVIEW

Based on the beloved book by Jack London, comes a tale about how a spoiled house dog comes to brave the wild of the Alaskan Klondike through both the harshness of men as well as weather and yet will find his ultimate place in the great wilderness.

The movie stars Harrison Ford who plays a man who is struggling with the loss of a child and doesn’t want to have anything to do with the world. That is until he meets Buck and ultimately the two set out on the epic adventure of what is to take them far past where man has ever traveled in the Alaskan area.

Overall, the movie does a great job of paying homage to its literary work of art. From the harsh cruelty of man on Buck which for any animal lover might be hard to endure, however it also shows that the spirit of the dog can not be broken as his ultimate destination leads to a heartwarming and heartbreaking conclusion which one would have to see to believe.

That being said, The Call of the Wild which came out in theaters February 21, 2020 is a a film for the whole family as it shows the powerful connection not only between man and dog but also dog with the rough forces of the wild.

The Call of the Wild is still playing in theaters for a limited time and is a must see especially if one knows and loves the book. True fans won’t have any regrets.
