The First Avenger REVIEW

Captain America: The first Avengers starts the saga off with a bang as we learn about Steve Rogers. A wannabe army recruit who is turned away because of his asthma.  Eventually, through the help of Agent Carter, he finds himself as a walking stage show entertainment for the troops.   However, he soon finds out that he can do more than that as he embraces Captain America in an effort to save the troops and ultimately his friends.

There is tragedy though which prompts him to further go into his own form of superhero fighting with the U-S army as he faces Hydra for the first time which starts the battle for good and evil in the Avengers saga.

At a little over two-hour runtime, Captain America: The first Avenger stars Chris Evans who ultimately can’t be seen playing anyone else.  His passion and role playing truly creates the perfect first avenger as we see both struggles, heartbreak and ultimately success as he finds things out about hydra that one can only plan to see in later Avengers movies.

Additionally, the film stars Hayley Atwell as Agent Carter, who complements the superhero well as the behind-the-scenes helper and apparent love interest that keeps everything moving for the sake of saving the world.

And the first infinity stone, though we don’t know yet its true power is revealed when hydra gets hold of it and ultimately vanishes when touching it.

There is a lot that this movie reveals and is definitely the first movie to watch for anyone who wants to learn the Avengers true back story in what culminated two years ago with Avengers End Game

Captain America: The First Avenger first came out in theaters July 2011 and is currently streaming via Disney Plus with an active subscription.
