“Asphalt City” REVIEW

When a young paramedic, after following around his older partner, discovers that partner dead from an apparent suicide, it’ll take everything to keep from following the same fate.

Asphalt City shows some of the brutal truths behind the dangers that our paramedics face both in the line of duty as well as off. Sean Penn, who plays “Gene” the older seasoned partner, does a awesome job of capturing it all as well as interacting and training his young counterpart (played by Ready Player One‘s Tye Sheridan). It’s a powerful gut wrench movie that will have you on the edge of your seats.

With very realistic scenes, the film is definitely not for the faint at heart. It will take you deep into the mean streets of New York and show just what paramedics have to deal with, and it’s not just saving lives. It’ll show just why paramedics suffer from the highest suicide rates as the movie producers dedicate it to the fallen.

Asphalt City came out in theaters March 30th and is currently playing in one near you.
