“Godzilla X Kong” REVIEW

Scientists attempt to keep two of the biggest titans seperate for fear of a war. But when Kong comes above earth for fear of something greater, the fear becomes real as Godzilla instantly senses it. Continuing where the original left off, it’s a race against time for the two to save humanity without destroying themselves.

Godzilla x Kong: A New empire is loaded with a ton of special affects that will have movie goers lining up to get a glimpse at the stunning cinematography. Additionally the film brings back stars Rebecca Hall as scientist Ilene Andrews as we see here juggling adult responsibilities with that of her latest endeavors.

Additionally, the young girl that Hall is mothering, Kaylee Hottle also returns even stronger than before. We instantly see the struggle of a young girl who thinks she is the only one of her race left as she fights to fit in. All in all, Kaylee does an exceptional job both with communicating with Hall as well as Kong, the only way she knows how, American sign language.

Finally the cast is joined by the beast himself, Dan Stevens as he joins as the Vet Trapper and we see for the first time him treating Kong multiple times. Stevens character also introduces the very real possibility of a potential love interest between Hall and himself and even more so the potential fatherly figure to young Kaylee.

All in all at an hour 55 minutes, Godzilla x Kong will have ethusiasts of both franchises on the edge of their seat wondering what will happen next. It will further makes us see an inevitable future for both in the years to come.

The film came out in theaters Easter weekend and brought in 80 million at the box office. It’s currently playing everywhere in a theater near you.
