“Dungeons and Dragons” REVIEW

The action packed film based on the 70’s game is bringing life to what gamers devoted their lives to for years. The film creates a new storyline where players are joined together to conquer the mission by tackling unique mazes until the mission is complete. It does an exceptional job of drawing audiences into that mission.

That is mostly due to the exceptional casting choices. Dungeons and Dragons stars “Don’t Worry Darling‘s” Chris Pine along side “Fast and the Furious’Michelle Rodriguez and the choice is spot on. Both Pine and Rodriguez has a way of playing off one another’s humor and action as they fight to find Pine’s daughter Kira (Chloe Coleman) who was taken by Forge (Hugh Grant) who uses the kidnapping in an attempt to run away with all the gold during the games. Fortunately Pine and Rodriguez are not alone as they manage to gather a team of “heroes” including a magician/ wizard Simon (Justice Smith) and a mystical tranforming creature, Doric (Sophia Lillis). Together are they able to band together and save their world?

At 2 hours and 14 minute run time, Dungeons and Dragons; Honor Among Thieves is a high impact movie that will have audiences fully engrossed in an all new adventure where everything is an adventure that takes a team to figure it out. The film came out in theaters March 31, 2023 and is currently playing in one near you.
