God’s Not Dead 4- Review

The next chapter of David A-R White’s epic franchise is finishing its three day run through AMC Theater’s Fathom Events.

This time it is the homeschooling world that is being challenged as a co-op sponsored family schooling program is taking on Washington fr the right to teach their kids the truth. White, is back as Reverend Dave, who stands up for the parents rights in the same powerful way as he has in films past. Additionally Contemporary Christian Musician Francesca Battistelli uses her own experience as mother of 5 to fuel the emotion behind the government’s challenge of homeschooling. She also introduces a new song which beautifully fits the message of the film and adds to the gripping emotion that everyone is feeling.

The film also brings back lovable favorites from the first film including Martin (played by Paul Kwo), as he is preparing to follow in Reverend Dave’s footprints. Also there is a heart felt moment when Ayisha (played by Hadeel Sittu) finally has closure between her father after she was thrown out of her house in the first film.

The one let down is unlike other films, there was no appearances by God’s Not Dead musicians, Newsboys. That being said, the song did finish out the film with the #GodsNotDead as the epic conclusion.

That being said, at an hour and 50 minutes, God’s Not Dead: We The People will have Christians cheering for the little victories that its actors go through as we route on the bigger battles to come. The film only played in limited capacity from October 4 through the 6 and is highly recommended to see as it becomes available.
