Matrix: Resurrections- Review

It’s time to go back to the Matrix. Keanu Reeves returns in the action packed film this Christmas and has audiences thinking to theirselves, “How can that be?” When Trinity (Carrie Anne Moss) shows up ready to kick butt once more, they create a story that she didn’t really die in Revolutions. Now they are back in the ultra post apocalyptic age where they are fighting in what seems to be a type of virtual reality.

The film, directed by Lana Wachowski, continues her vision and despite some plot holes, it does a fairly good job of captivating audiences. It truly takes you on a journey “down the rabbit hole” so to speak as Reeves, Moss and the whole cast does an exceptional job of fulfilling that mission. The film also stars, Neil Patrick Harris, Jada Pickett Smith, Jonathan Groff and Yahya Abdul Mateen II, who took the place of Laurence Fishborne’s role from the original Matrix Trilogy.

All in all, coming in at just under 2 and a half hours, Matrix: Resurrections is the perfect action film for the holiday season. It’s definitely a must see of Keanu Reeves at his finest. It’s currently playing in a theater near you.
