“Migration” REVIEW

Illumination‘s newest movie, Migration is bringing new meaning to the word adventure and stepping out of one’s comfort zone. A family of Mallard Ducks ,who have never left the safety of the own home, is challenged with a once in a lifetime trip to Jamaica. Against Mac’s better judgement, he agrees, however the family seem to get lost and in that discover things that further validates Mac’s fear. The question is can the family put those fears behind them and learn to see and trust more that life has to offer.

All in all Migration is a movie for all ages. Kids will enjoy the colorful ducks and fun story line that resignates among all families. Adults, on the other hand, would hope to look at the bigger picture, that is to take a chance and step outside one’s own box. Additionally, parents would hope to see another important message of truly trusting your children and learning to let them grow without holding them back.

Additionally Migration contains an all star cast, including, “The Big Sick’s” Kumail Nanjiani as Mac as well as “Hunger GamesElizabeth Banks as Pam and of course the iconic Danny Devito as Uncle Dan. Even more voices include the hilarious Awkwafina, Keegan Michael Key and Carol Kane; all of whom bring their own unique styles and personalities in order to truly bring these ducks to life.

Migration came out in theaters Dec 22 and is currently playing in a theater near you.
