“Ferrari” REVIEW

Fast Cars and affairs. In a word that is what Farrari is about.

Based on the book by journalist Brock Yates’, the film centers on on prominate race that is meant to bring the name Ferrari to new heights. It does just that but not in the way one would hope.

The film stars Star Wars, Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari, who does an exceptional job of capturing business nature, while hiding his affair with Lina Lardi (Shailene Woodley) from that of his business partner and wife, Laura (Penelope Cruz). The plot thickens when this affair is brought to life through acknowledgement of one illicit son, at the very same moment his other son is about to be taken. All in all, all three actors do a spectacular job of portraying both will, determination and passion for the man who is ultimately a monster.

Overall the film paints unique picture of the man and wife behind Ferrari, though not entirely true at moments, it definitely will make you think twice when wanting to own a Ferrari especially knowing the scandal behind it. That being said, the film is not for everyone as it is rated R for both language and very adult sexual content and viewer discretion is strongly advised.

Ferrari came out in theaters Dec 25 and is currently playing in one near you.
