“One Love” Movie REVIEW

The Raggae Musical biopic is bringing crowds to the theaters this President’s Day weekend as it well takes Marvel’s Madame Web at the box office with 33 million since opening Valentine’s day.

The film follows the life of Bob Marley in the midst of political war when all he’s trying to do is bring people together through the power of music. It’s a powerful message with a subtle religious reference which those that believe will instantly catch on to.

The acting includes Barbie star Kingley Ben Adir who does an awesome job not only acting as the iconic Bob Marley but also capturing that true Jamaican dialect. He has a way of drawing you into the story and keeping the attention throughout the film. Additionally Captain Marvel’s Lashana Lynch plays Marley’s wife, Rita and equally does an awesome job. Finally Little Women’s James Norton rounds out the cast as the manager who adds so much to the film as not only a manager but a friend.

All in all, Bob Marley: One Love is the fitting movie to come out on Valentine’s day. It defines the true meaning of One Love and the struggle people go though daily to obtain that in life. It’s not hard to have, one just has to look in the right place.

The musical biopic was written and produced under the direction of Marley’s wife and son. It’s worth seeing in a theater near you.
