“She Came To Me” REVIEW

Peter Dinklage is quickly becoming a little guy to watch out for on the big screen. He is stealing hearts away with his poetic charm, much as he did in Cyrano which came out a few years ago. This time Dinklage stars as Steven Lauddem, a renown composer who finds himself struggling with inspiration. Through the motivation of his wife (Anne Hathaway), he finds himself in lured onto a tugboat by a curious sea captain (Marisa Tomei) who takes his breath away and more importantly gives him inspiration for his next opera. The bigger question is can he just go back to his family and pretend nothing happened or will this be the start of a new adventure.

Ultimately the film surprisingly has even more layers than that as on the outside it is a love triangle, but on the inside, we see there are deeper connections that will surprise you throughout the entire film. Furthermore the chemistry between all three actors is exceptional. Dinklage seems to get even better the more we see him as this is his first real romantic drama role without the singing added. Additionally both Tomei and Hathaway add two very different dynamics that will have the audience wonder who Dinklage will ultimately end up with in the end.

All in all, She Came To Me came out in theaters Sept 29th and is currently playing in limited ones near you.
