“Ron’s Gone Wrong” REVIEW

It’s a movie about friendship in the digital age.

A Social media empire creates the ultimate “best friend out of my box” and every kid has one. Everyone that is except socially awkward middle schooler, Barney. When his dad gets him one for his birthday, Barney finally thinks he has a chance to make a best friend. That is until he realizes there is something totally wrong with his b-bot. Now he’s on a journey to “fix” Ron before the social media empire finds out the glitch and destroys him.

At an hour forty six minutes, Ron Gone Wrong is a heart felt movie about the difficulties of middle school. It also shows the addictiveness as well as the potential dangers of social media especially for kids. Finally it shows how the power of true friendship can overtake any glitch and create a truly unique friendship.

The film stars voices including Shazam‘s Jack Dylan Grazer as Barney and Hangover‘s Zach Galifianakis as Ron. Also Vacation‘s Ed Helms voices Barney’s father and all three create funny comical moments that will have the audience laughing when all seems to be going completely wrong.

Ron’s Gone Wrong is a movie for the whole family as it has moments that children will be throughly entertained. Similarly adults will be engaged in a deeper connection as it makes you truly reevaluate how much screen time we really should have in our lives.
