Let’s go back to the beginning and learn the background to Damian through his mother. The First Omen follows the story of a young nun first entering into sisterhood in Rome. What she discovers is enough to make her question everything including the creature that miraculously is growing inside of her.
First Omen stars Game of Thrones Neil Tiger Free as that woman, Margaret, who does an exceptional job of capturing that of a woman curious of her faith to that of one who just wants to get away and get the creature out. Free does a great job with that as well as connecting with each of her actors to create a story that could startle you and also make you question everything. Additionally other actors include The Creator‘s Ralph Ineson, Detective Pikachu‘s Bill Nighy and Sonia Braga who all bring their own unique acting perspectives to the story.
The prequel, though it’s not nearly as dark as the original Omen franchise, it does paint a unique picture of what many christian’s believe as the anti christ. Though it is quite a fictional interpretation, one would hope, the movie might inspire people to learn the truth in the book of revelation. That being said, The First Omen came out in theaters April 5th and is currently playing in one near you.
